Our Story

First Baptist Pulaski began in 1887 with a small group of believers meeting in homes. In 1888 they were formally established as Pulaski Baptist Church, erecting the building that is still the foundation and frame of the very sanctuary we meet in today. Even in those early days, our church was committed to teaching God's Word, reaching out to the lost and broken, and encouraging and raising up faithful Christ followers to share their faith. Over the years our church has fluctuated in size and effectiveness. Whenever churches lose their effectiveness it is almost always due to losing clarity on it's primary mission, and that is to glorify the name of Jesus Christ and advance His kingdom. Today, First Baptist Church Pulaski is once again focusing all of its attention on bringing glory and honor to the name of Jesus and advancing His kingdom. To do that we must once again focus on preaching and teaching God's Word, raising up faithful Christ followers to share their faith to a lost and broken world. Come and join us as we pursue the King of Kings, Jesus the Christ, encouraging one another to share with the world how amazing He is! 

As we learn more about Jesus, we begin to understand how important it is to share the good news of what He has done with anyone that will listen. We do that through learning about His word, encouraging one another, and serving our community. Our hope is that through our personal growth in our relationship with Jesus and walking alongside other faithful Christ Followers we can expand the kingdom of Jesus Christ and grow our church family. Come join us as we grow in our Christian walk, love one another, and gain the knowledge of God's Word, learning to trust Him in order to gain the courage and fortitude to stand firmly in the light of Christ to share the good news of what He has done for us!

Over the next couple of years our hope is that we become a place where people of every age, income, and background can come to strengthen their faith, be refreshed by God's Word, be encouraged by fellowship with other Christ followers, and use their talents and gifts to advance the kingdom of Jesus Christ. We long for entire families to walk side by side in His service, for His glory, and the advancement of His kingdom.

We also hope to become a place where those who are tired and weary from the burdens of this world can come and find hope and clarity for their lives. We have God's viewpoint in mind, we don't care where you've been, only that your present and future belong to Jesus. Come and find your place at the table of the King of Kings. He longs for you to know Him and His great love for you!
